Parks Employee

   The City of Curtis is taking applications for a full time Parks Employee. The employee will be responsible to maintain the parks, cemetery, courts, ballfields, campgrounds, and pool as well as work with all other departments when required. The City of Curtis currently offers full family health insurance, retirement, sick leave, and vacation. The current salary range for this position is $10- $20 an hour. Applicants are strongly encouraged to reside in the Curtis area. Employee must obtain licenses to apply pesticides, herbicides, and any other certifications necessary to fulfill the maintenance of the parks. The position will be open until filled. NEBRASKA COLLEGE OF TECHNICAL AGRICULTURE  - CUSTODIAN II  (11:00pm-7:30am, Sun-Thurs)

Perform routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of NCTA Campus buildings and outdoor spaces. Scrub, strip, refinish and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines. Vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors. Mix cleaning solution per instruction. Collect and dispose of refuse requiring heavy physical efforts. Remove snow and ice from steps of immediate building area(s). Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more while moving furniture or setting up tables and chairs for special events. Must be flexible to work during other employee leave absences on a rotating basis and weekends as may be assigned.

NEBRASKA COLLEGE OF TECHNICAL AGRICULTURE  - ASSISTANT RECRUITING COORDINATOR 

The primary responsibility of this position is to increase enrollment at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA). This position will assist the Recruiting Coordinator with successfully implementing the strategic enrollment plan for the college. The incumbent in this position will report directly to the Recruiting Coordinator and will interact with faculty, staff, and students to meet the goals set in the strategic enrollment plan. The incumbent will provide guidance, communication, promotional information, consultation, and assistance to schools/colleges, organizations, agencies, and communities involved in the education and recruitment of prospective students; manage student services’ databases and social networking; represent NCTA at events; understand NCTA educational programs for recruitment purposes; track recruitment status and other related report writing; and analyze specific recruiting strategies necessary to locate the best-qualified students. The Assistant Recruiting Coordinator will professionally represent and communicate NCTA program opportunities, scholarships, financial aid, tuition, fees, and other college costs and benefits to prospective students. Travel extensively with some irregular hours, including occasional nights and weekends. Some lifting is necessary to set up recruiting booths.
