Up to $1,000 cash incentive for families with children:
This incentive is for families moving to Curtis from another school district with children 18 years and younger.  If your child is of school age they must be enrolled at Medicine Valley Public Schools in order to receive the money.  Families with one child will receive $500, two children will receive $750 and three or more children will receive $1,000.

If you move to Curtis with the intent of buying or building a home within a year of moving here you will be eligible for the Student Incentive and would receive your money after your home is purchased or built.  

An application will need to be filled out at the time of purchasing or building a home. If you plan on renting first with the intent of buying or building within a year, you will need to fill out an application stating that.

Commercial Property Incentives

The MVEDC would like to see new businesses prosper in our community. Here is just a glimpse of what we can offer those looking at starting up their business or service in our area. Refer to the "Free Land" tab to get a visual on sites that are currently available.

Construct a single-family home in Curtis (meeting certain specifications) within a specified time period and receive the lot for free.  Curtis is a wonderful location in which to retire or raise a family.  All lots are on paved concrete streets with all utilities. Free Industry and Commercial Land


Build an industrial building or commercial building on one of the many lots available in and around Curtis. The two commercial lots photographed are located in town on Center Ave. The lot located on Hw 18 and 23 has high potential to become very successful as it is on the busies intersection in Frontier County. A subway or other restaurant has the potential to be the most successful. The two industrial lots photographed are located on the East side of Curtis and have both airport access and highway access. In reference to the map bellow Lot 320039633 is 6 acres located on the North side of Curtis. Lot 3200336111 located in town is 3.6 acres.
